ENGLISH For three seasons, ‘Isabel’, the historical TV shows about the queen Isabella I of Castile (XV Century Spanish Queen) has been a sample of participation and interactivity with the fan community: historical debate and conversation in our Facebook page, educational and cultural stuff to explain History of Spain, conversations between fans and crew (director and screenwriters) to correct historical mistakes on the coming episodes...
Around that engaged community, RTVE.ES created its first ‘companion show’ for the last season: #TantoMonta, a weekly online live show based on episode recaps with the crew and social interaction. #TantoMonta is a program created entirely by and for the Internet´s viewers who loves Isabel historical series.
The program is developed on the content that is provided by the Internet, via social media. On the one hand, each week the interviewees (the main actors, the director and the screenwriter) are subjected to questions in real time that users submit to them via Twitter.
#TantoMonta is a pioneer in the Spanish television to become a follower of the series in the lead, because with their decisions, the viewer can change the content of what is being broadcast. For example, they may decide exclusive advance of the next chapter, by expressing their preference on Twitter, or they can decide what videos they want to see, or solve puzzles and win prizes only in the online live broadcasting. A program that changes with the actions of the fans.
