About the project
'Isabel' has been one the most eagerly awaited television events of the year and RTVE.es created a special website which included a second screen project.
Viewers could watch this show and learn real details about Queen Isabella I of Castile at the same time through their tablets or computers.
A key figure in the Spanish history, Isabella lived between 1451 and 1504 and during her reign she unified Spanish Kingdoms and expelled muslims invaders.
Screenwriters and historician worked hand in hand to make the first season of this popular series a faithful reflection of Isabella’s time, when Spanish empire began to be built and Christopher Columbus discovered America en 1492.
In www.rtve.es/masisabel, users could complete their knowledge about historic facts and personages of Spain in XV century during live broadcasting and also they could comment about it through social networks.
Besides this content, users could explore the family tree of the Trastamara´s, Isabel´s dinasty, and see all kind of contents such as pictures, special videos and texts about the shot of the TV show.
Sobre el proyecto
'Isabel' ha sido uno de los eventos más esperados del año en televisión en España y para ello RTVE.es ha creado una página web especial que incluye un proyecto de segunda pantalla.
Los espectadores pudieron ver la serie y conocer a la vez detalles sobre la reina Isabel I de Castilla a través de sus tabletas u ordenadores.
Figura clave en la historia de España, Isabel vivió entre 1451 y 1504 y durante su reinado unificó los reinos españoles y expulsó a los invasores musulmanes.
Guionistas e historiadores trabajaron mano a mano para hacer de la primera temporada de esta serie un retrato fiel de la época de Isabel, un momento en el que imperio español empezó a ser construido y Cristóbal Colón descubrió América.
En www.rtve.es/masisabel los usuarios pudieron completar su conocimiento de hechos históricos y personajes de la España del siglo XV durante la emisión en directo y también pudieron comentarlos a través de redes sociales.
Además de este contenido, los usuarios pudieron explorar el árbol geneaológico de la dinastía de los Trastámara, a la que pertenece Isabel, y ver contenidos como imágenes, vídeos especiales y textos sobre el rodaje del programa de televisión.
